History of the Jackson Hole Fall
Arts Festival
Jackson Hole, Wyoming. September
6-16, 2007.
The annual Fall Arts Festival is one
of Jackson Hole's greatest cultural
celebrations. The Festival has been
the catalyst in a surge of artistic
appreciation over the past decade in
Jackson. This year's Festival will
be the 19th edition, continuing a
tradition of artistic excellence
that had led many observers to name
Jackson as one of the finest small
art towns in the country.
The hallmark event of the Festival
is the QuickDraw Art Sale & Auction.
Now in its 10th year, QuickDraw
brings nationally and regionally
recognized artists together to
display their craftsmanship in front
of a live audience of festival
enthusiasts. As soon as the artists
complete their work, an auction is
held to award the most unyielding
bidder with an original work of art
created on the spot.
Other highlights of the Festival
include the Palates & Palettes
Gallery Walk, which presents an
opportunity to enjoy the culinary
talents of local chefs while
visiting area galleries, and Sizzle
on the Square!, a fashion show on a
runway under the stars in Jackson's
Town Square.
Few places in the world make people
stop and admire the beauty of nature
around them. Jackson Hole provides
the artist the perfect backdrop to
create beautiful art whether
photography, painting, sculpture or
music. Equally inspiring is the Old
West charm and hospitality that
still thrives in this valley.
Together the breathtaking natural
surroundings and the heritage of
Jackson Hole provide a canvas
attracting visitors from around the
world.
Plan your trip to the 2006 Fall Arts
Festival now by contacting the
Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce at
